Values Statement
We believe...
- in the family unit in all its forms.
- that every child has the right to quality child care.
- that a child learns best in an environment that honors and values differences, teaches respect and trust, and that when adults model those attributes they become part of a child*s being.
- in a hands on, nature based learning experience that engages all aspects of play and exploration.
- in open, free flowing communication between everyone involved with the care and protection of a child in our care.
- in teaching respect for a sustainable environment by using natural, and reusable materials as often as possible.
- in the importance of a space that reflects organization and beauty within which children can do the important work necessary to their growth and development.
- in providing appropriate learning opportunities for all children independent of their developmental level.
- in an environment that is representative of the full spectrum of ages within the community; including young as well as senior members.
- in the formation of community through the use of volunteers.
- in supporting and advocating for the quality and professionalism within the field of Early Childhood Education.
- in providing a supportive environment for the entire Lily Garden community; including children, parents, staff, board members, and volunteers.
