A Day at the Lily Garden

Infants

  • We welcome infants at 4 months of age, following their daily rhythms and providing them with what they need to grow.
  • Our adults interact with children on each child's developmental level. We talk to children respectfully and with love.
  • Children are given every opportunity to roll, crawl, cruise, walk, and run in an enviroment that encourages each child's individuality.
  • Social interaction between children at a young age helps to develop their sense of self. It teaches tolerance, turn taking, respect, and develops friendships that can last a long time.

Toddlers

  • Lunchtime with friends, climbing, pretending, and problem solving are all part of a toddler's busy day.
  • Children learn through many kinds of experiences together as a group or on their own through drama.

Preschool

  • Project work builds on an idea or question and moves it from "a seed to a tree"
  • We examine all aspects of that idea until children are finished.
